“下次,你要告诉老师 "please call me 'easton'。"

Day#177: 7/3/2015 - full of adventures, salvages and discovery
in the middle of saying farewell, packing, preparing for the next phase of life, and trying not to let the feeling of sadness of leaving a place where we lived overwhelm us, we decided to take one last day trip! The only thing we kept in mind is to relax!
among all of the places we've visited, no doubt that easton and jake's favorite is beaches, so here we go: Le Croisic - a beach town about 1 hour west of Nante by train.
bought a round trip ticket, leaving around noon and hoping to get back around 8 in the evening. when buying tickets, tie made sure that there is another train after 8, which seems to be at 10, and said that let's just relax and if we catch the 8 o'clock train, perfect, if not, we just catch the 10 o'clock one. agreed, no need to rush for this last trip!
Adventure + Salvage #1:
we got to the beach when the tide is going away, which allowed us to walk to the rocks and spent hours looking for little hermit crabs; cutting and eating fresh oysters. Jake spotted the largest crab we've ever find ourselves and we are all so pround of his sharp eyes.
without noticing, the tide is coming up. as we were still all looking down and concentrating on looking for small sea animals, a voice is shouting at us: please start walking back since the tide is coming up. we looked up, and all of a sudden, all of the rocks were under the water and with a sheet of sea weed we cannot even see the rocks.
we both tried to hold easton and jake to walk back, but realized that it is impossible with the blurry view and the water that keeps coming up high. we called the life guard, who is holding a floating board, and asked if he could take the boys back to the beach.
Easton first and he is very brave. after severl attemps of adjusting positions, easton got into a safe spot, and the life guard swam and push the floating board slowly and safely back to the bank.
then Jake's turn. with easton's example, he already knew what he is suppoed to do and calmly followed directions of the life guard.
finally, my turn.
tie managed to walk back on his own.
just a few mins after we got back, all of the rocks that we were standing on are under the water.
afterwards, Easton and Jake "swam" for the first time and the only time in the sea!
Discovery
Highlight of the day: giant jelly fish! on the way walking back to the town, we spotted giant jelly fish and several of them. in Easton's words : "the jelly fish is bigger than Jake!", which is true!
on our way to dinner
Crepe is delicious and Easton had 2 of them!
Adventure + Salvage #2:
after dinner, headed to the train station for our 8:20 train. got there at 8 and the station is completely empty. 8:10 still empty, 8:15, still empty. we started to realize that something is wrong. looking at the ticket again, the tickets we got says 8:20 in the morning for the next day and after checking online we realize that the last train for Friday evening is 19:49. we got no train!

Day 140: 5/27/2015 Jake's Field Trip to Nante Natural History Museum
